Rain Rain go away!!!

This weather is crazy! It has been raining almost non-stop for a few weeks now. Thanks La Nina! Today has been especially bad. We have had just continuous non stop rain and  major down pours to where I can't see my Mom's house across the street. It's not supposed to stop until 8pm tonight....and then just a few hours break before the next round comes in. Then more rain and maybe severe storms all night and all day tomorrow and even more on Wednesday! Seriously.....my flowers are drowning!!

Thank goodness our sump pump is working hard. If the power goes out I am in BIG trouble! We have had two basement flood since we moved here in September. One was a sewage back-up (yuuuuck) and the other a sump pump fail. We cleaned the pump really well after that one and so far it's doing it's job.

So now we worry about flooding. Which is happening. Our street has about 2 feet on water in it. It's not to our house yet but I bet it will be before this is all over.  Aiden is dying to get out and play in it but sadly, it's only 54 degrees outside. Maybe tomorrow when it's 75 and rain he will get his chance. There are roads closed everywhere, my Mom had trouble getting to the high school to pick up my brother. They need to close our road. People keep trying to drive down it and the water is over their tires. Someone is going to get stuck! Aiden's bus had to take an alternate route home because of road flooding.

So yes.  Rain, Rain GO THE HECK AWAY!!!!
